Why People Love East Lake Family Dental
Implant-Supported Full Arch Solutions
We offer three full-arch solutions depending on your needs, goals, and bone structure. All placement and restoration is handled in-house, so you work with one team from your first scan to your final result.

All-on-X / Full Arch Fixed Bridges
All-on-X replaces an entire arch of teeth using four to six strategically placed implants with a fixed, non-removable bridge secured on top. You don't take it out at night, you don't use adhesive, and you care for it like your own teeth. It's the most permanent full-arch option we offer and the closest in function to natural teeth.
Fixed Implant Dentures
Fixed implant dentures are anchored to implants so they don't shift or require adhesive. Unlike traditional dentures that rest on the gums, these are secured into the jawbone, which provides a stronger bite and helps preserve bone over time. They're brushed in place and don't need to be removed for cleaning.

Overdentures and Snap-In Dentures
Overdentures attach to implants using locator attachments or a bar, so they snap firmly into place during wear but can still be removed for cleaning. They typically require fewer implants than All-on-X, making them a more accessible option for patients who want meaningful implant stability without committing to a fully fixed restoration.
Why Implants Over Removable Dentures
Removable dentures rest on the gums and have no connection to the jawbone. Over time, this can accelerate bone loss and cause the fit to change. Implant-supported restorations stimulate the bone the way natural tooth roots do, which helps maintain your jaw structure and keeps your restoration fitting correctly for years.

Which Option Is Right For You?
The right solution depends on your bone density, how many teeth you're missing, your goals, and your budget. Here's a straightforward way to think about it:

Not sure which fits your situation? That's what the consultation is for.
Understanding All-on-X / Full Arch Fixed Bridges
What Is All-on-X?
All-on-X replaces an entire arch of teeth using four to six strategically placed implants. A fixed, non-removable bridge is then secured to those implants. The result is a complete set of teeth that stays in your mouth permanently. You don't remove it at night, you don't use adhesive, and you brush and care for it like your own teeth.
Who Is It For?
All-on-X is typically a good fit for patients who:
- Are missing all or most teeth in one or both arches
- Have been wearing full removable dentures and want a permanent solution
- Are looking for the most stable full-arch option available
Placed and Restored In-House
Our team performs both the implant surgery and the final restoration here at East Lake Family Dental. You work with the same team throughout your entire treatment, from your first scan to your final result.

Understanding Overdentures and Snap-In Dentures
What's the Difference?
Overdentures attach to implants using locator attachments or a bar. They snap firmly into place during daily wear but can still be removed for cleaning. They're a meaningful step up from traditional dentures in stability, comfort, and chewing ability, with the added flexibility of being removable.
A More Accessible Implant Option
Overdentures typically require fewer implants than All-on-X, which makes them a more accessible starting point for patients who want implant support without committing to a fixed bridge.
How They Compare to Traditional Dentures
- No denture adhesive required
- Far less movement when eating and speaking
- Improved chewing ability
- Still removable for cleaning

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between All-on-X and overdentures?
All-on-X is a fixed restoration, meaning it stays in your mouth permanently and is not removed. Overdentures are implant-supported but still removable for cleaning. Both are significantly more stable than traditional dentures, but All-on-X offers the closest experience to having natural teeth.
How many implants are needed for All-on-X?
Most full-arch cases use four to six implants per arch. The exact number depends on your bone density, the arch being treated, and your treatment plan. We use 3D CBCT imaging to assess your bone and determine the right placement before any treatment begins.
Do you place and restore implants in-house?
Yes. Our team handles both the surgical placement and the final restoration here at East Lake Family Dental. You work with one team throughout, which means better continuity of care and fewer trips to unfamiliar offices.
Is there a long recovery after All-on-X surgery?
Most patients return to normal daily activities within a few days. There is a healing period of several months while the implants bond with the jawbone, during which you'll be on a modified diet. We walk you through exactly what to expect at each stage so there are no surprises.
Am I a candidate if I've already lost significant bone?
Possibly. One advantage of the All-on-X approach is that implants are often angled strategically to work with available bone, which can reduce or eliminate the need for bone grafting. The best way to find out is to come in for a consultation and 3D imaging.
How do I clean fixed implant dentures or All-on-X?
Fixed restorations are brushed in place just like natural teeth. We'll show you the right tools and techniques, which typically include a soft-bristle brush and a water flosser to clean around the implants. Overdentures are removed for cleaning on a daily basis.
How long do implant-supported restorations last?
With proper care and regular checkups, implant-supported restorations can last many years. The implants themselves are designed to be a long-term solution. The prosthetic portion may need to be replaced or adjusted over time, depending on wear and regular maintenance.
Do you offer financing for full-arch implant treatment?
Yes. We work with Cherry financing to offer flexible payment options for patients considering full-arch implant treatment. Ask our team about your options at your consultation and we'll help you find a plan that fits your budget.
